The Association of International Dance award system offers an easy way for students to track their progress while enjoying their dancing.
This approach allows students the opportunity to lay the foundation for their dancing knowledge, by learning the step patterns and techniques from a variety of social and specialised dances to allow a comfortable movement around the dance floor.
The various ‘Levels’ or Bronze, Silver and Gold assessments are milestones which mark the completion of one stage of growing progress, while opening the door for the next.
They are available in a range of Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue styles, to a variety of Club Dance styles and, within each dance style in the syllabi of each level of dance are defined elements and restrictions; designed to create a developmental progression through increasingly complex concepts of dancing and dynamic movement.
The 'Cabochon Glass Art’ awards have been designed in a modern style that allows the award to be either worn as a jewelry item or attached to a keychain, rather that being ‘tucked away' in a drawer; while each image insert and ‘Cabochon’ backing has been created to depict the dance style and level accomplished.
Higher awards are available for those students who wish to incorporate an assessment that has a greater expectation of performance and, are designed to allow both student and teacher an opportunity for; creativity; flexibility in timing and the exploration of new movements, shapes and choreography while expressing emotion through dance with an opportunity to ‘break’ the rules.
